This a brief user guide for Whatsminer tool, which applies to Whatsminer M50. It introduces the main function of the tool.

1. Introduction
A brief user manual for the WhatsMiner tool (WhatsMinerTool.exe) is provided here. The WhatsMiner tool can be used to identify your miner IP, change your Whatsminer configurations (such as pools, networks, ntp servers, etc.), upgrade your Whatsminer firmware, and discover your Whatsminer information and status.
2.Running Environment
Only Windows computers can run the WhatsMinerTool program. It is compatible with Windows 7/8/10.
3.Main Window
Area 1 specifies the searchable IP address range.
For all of the tab pages, the global operation buttons are in Area 2.
To carry out an action, choose one of the tab pages in Area 3.
For a specific tab page, the parameters and operation buttons are in area 4.
The status and outcome of the operation are displayed in Area 5.
4.Global Operation Buttons
4.1.Search IP
By pressing the [Search IP] button, IP addresses can be added to the list box.
4.2.Import IP
In addition, by selecting the [Import IP] button, you can import your miner’s IP address from a text file.
One IP address per line is the standard text file format for IP addresses. Like below:
192.168.1.1

192.168.1.3
…

The current tab page’s data can be exported to a text file. Semicolons (;) are used to denote the separation of each column’s data. Data can be pasted into Excel and separated by ‘;.

5.Detect IP
5.1.Enable IP Detecting
By selecting [Start] from the [Detect IP] tab page, IP detection can be made active.
You can click the [Stop] button to halt IP detecting once it has begun.
5.2.Auto Detecting the Miner IP
WhatsMinerTool will automatically identify and capture the Miner IP once IP detecting has begun.
By pressing the control board’s long key for about 3 seconds while looking at the SD card slot, you can report the miner’s IP in the following way. When the red and green LEDs flash three times, the report has been successful.
And at the same time, WhatsMinerTool will receive the reported IP address, like this:
Room-Shelf-Layer-Position makes up the [Position] column.
To move to another position, click [Skip]. To empty the list box, press [Clear].

IP Suffix Usage:
1. When [None] is chosen, the suffix will not be appended to the worker’s name.
2. The last three fields of the IP address are added to the worker name when [IP] is chosen. The Worker name, for instance, will be microbtinit.test.168x2x178 for Miner 192.168.2.178.

9.Network Parameters
The miner’s source IP is its current IP, and its destination IP is its new IP. We’ll use a static IP address for the new Dest IP.

Note: You must reboot the miner to enable the new network parameters after finishing the update
operation.
